I am always going into nature, it brings you back to life.

November 18, 2024

I grew up like that, I have always felt free and alive when I am in nature - At peace with the world and with oneself. I came to myself and realized: This is actually life!

There's nothing like feeling nature barefoot

To a place without the noise of the city.

And make decisions that align with your values.

Inspiring you to get out in the great outdoors and live to your freewill - You have to do it to know it works.

My favorite part about traveling off the beaten track, it can take you places not many people tend to ever see. Places that don't cater to tourists - To experience cool adventures, you need to make the time, willing to put the extra effort in and take a whole load of risk.

We are LOST living in a rat race, where we all become the same - Chasing a financial dream and not truly living.

We tend to chase a life by consuming, to fill the void to happiness. Instead of taking a step back to reflect on each day, and time to listen to what the heart truly wants - You have to live it to know what's real.

Our TRADITIONS are what keeps us living to our own freewill - Giving meaning & putting the soul back in our lives.

Time, Health and Experiences are our greatest asset. Inner wealth, it is my best capital. That's why I'm taking mini-retirements as often as I can. Because those real life experiences are going to go with you...

I felt the need to travel and see something different. I love other cultures, culinary dishes, tropical jungles, legendary mountains, and remote islands of the Pacific. It gives a different perspective on life, and you see for yourself there is a different way of doing things. That comes with a deeper meaning to everyone involved, and not at the cost to anyone.

I didn't feel comfortable at all with this rat race life, which I did because that’s all I knew.

Society does not tell you there is an alternative way, and that it aligns to your inner self.

That time in nature gives you time to reflect on what really matters, and what's important. The rat race sucks you in, and gets in the way of your heart. Stopping you from living to your own freewill.

So, I gave up my job and went travelling. Volunteering and staying with local families. I soon came to realize, this is more my lifestyle. Simpler, close to nature and in a natural cycle. The way to my own free spirit and a connection to the land.

We are all connected.

The native people you meet when travelling the world are incredible, they are poor with little money, but rich in life. You notice they have time to make you feel welcome, spontaneous smiles, strong to get on with life, not lazy, cook the best food, happy with what they have and don't want to profit from you.

Globalisation loses the connection of the people, villages, towns and cities of each country. While we can focus on new things, if we don't know who we are and where we come from, how can we possibly know where we are going, or at least to be on the right path.

The tipping point for me was to see a culture that has not been affected by the West, where the people did not have a care in the world, with no poverty, no unemployed, no depression or diabetes (Western diseases), and then to return, only a few years later to see the convenience of the developed world put on them and they were believing a false reality that they could have an abundance for doing very little.

Start on the adventure of your life as soon as you can.

Success is waking up in the morning, going to bed at night and doing what you want in between. The ability to choose. Tomorrow I am going to Wales, but the day after I have no money now, is not a success. It's not that simple, you have to be perpetual and have the responsibility for the outcome.

Perpetual means one step at a time, that goes on forever. Set yourself up to have stability in your life to evolve and have the opportunity.

Working with my hands

Gardening, carpentry, mechanics and cooking have served me well. Fixing and building is good for the soul, and cooking with love, is sharing time together after the effort of the day's work.

I have an increasing desire to build my own tiny home, an eco-retreat and to serve others. Invite people to recharge their batteries and get back in touch with life.

“The old ways are the new ways. We need to take two steps back” - The key to living is working with your hands.

Learn to tread lightly; Plant more trees than we cut-down, stop using plastic bags and bottles, make do and mend and grow your own, or buy local and cook your own meals and share meal times - Value your time, and leave the place better than we found it.

To understand there are no short-cuts to life, to give more than we take -  It feels good.

You don't need to travel far, or spend a lot of money to take the first step in getting back in touch with life.

If one day you change your tune, go and see the world.

Mini-Retirements. Where we focus on travel.

It is the same principle for an alternative life, living out of a debt based system. Easy money that makes you feel rich, but you are the opposite 'trapped'

Charging the power station from the leisure battery in my campervan or from 110 W solar panel. To be a little self-sufficient when wild camping. Also, allows me to charge laptop and the phone for working remotely on longer trips away.

The world crisis we are all going though, will bring suffering and hard-times. This will bring a brilliant opportunity, from a good kick up the back-side to get people to work and build a better life. As we become in-tune of what's really important, we will not be able to rely on the health care system, people will have no choice but start to take care of themselves. Things will get better, but not the same as before, we will see less plastic rubbish being brought from China and more quality goods made locally.
